You will join the EU Strategy & Operations team, reporting to our Director Strategy & Operations, DEATCH & NEU. This high-impact role involves working closely with senior stakeholders across geographies, businesses, and functions to bring clarity to their most pressing decisions. Our team partners with leaders across PayPal to deliver innovation and business growth in the EU markets, guiding the strategic market goals of the organization.

In this position, you will tackle key strategic and operational questions at PayPal. Collaborating with commercial teams and stakeholders across functions, you will help develop effective operating plans and performance objectives, playing a crucial role in turning our strategies into actionable solutions for our customers.
Your Day-to-Day
As our Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations DEATCH, you will drive the rhythm of business while ensuring alignment with broader corporate strategies. You’ll lead planning and execution efforts, aligning sales teams and stakeholders to meet market objectives. Additionally, you will manage regular market reporting and business review processes, leveraging insights to support strategic decision-making. Alongside these core duties, your responsibilities include:
Driving the roll-out of market plans in collaboration with finance and analytics, developing commercial business cases and quantifying impact on financial results and KPIs.
Creating data-driven strategic recommendations for management using advanced business intelligence tools to provide insights, forecast trends, and drive decision-making.
Simplifying complex issues and acting as a consultant to the DEATCH organization on all market initiatives, from planning to execution.
Identifying market gaps and opportunities through external research and internal data analysis, delivering impactful presentations with data-driven insights to influence executive strategies.
Bringing thought leadership to the Strategy and Operations teams, enhancing cross-team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
Communicating clearly with market teams and stakeholders about the implementation of critical organizational and operational decisions.
What You Need to Succeed
Proven experience in operating roles within the payment industry, Strategy & Operations, consultancy, or commercial growth management; Previous client-facing consultancy experience or in a “Vorstandsassistenz” role is a plus.
Data-driven and comfortable analyzing large and complex data sets; experience with business intelligence solutions is preferred.
Proven ability in business case development, market and opportunity sizing, scenario modeling, and preparing strategic recommendations for senior leaders.
Strong skills in combining strategic thinking with project leadership and hands-on execution, along with structured problem-solving abilities and business insight.
Experienced in building relationships across diverse functions and backgrounds, with the capability to manage and deliver projects end-to-end in a complex matrix organization.
Customer-focused, consistently incorporating the customer perspective into plans and decisions.
Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating with senior leadership.
Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment.
