We are seeking a top performing Solutions Manager (SM) with digital media sales experience who can drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction by cultivating strategic client relationships and delivering customized solutions aligned to the client’s advertising needs around our media and programmatic ad technology products.
The SM enables Microsoft Advertising (MSA) to better serve clients by applying obsession to what clients care about and need, ensuring our MSA story is valued and understood, and building and maintaining strong trusted-advisor relationships with day-to-day practitioner contacts at the advertiser or agency. The SM will play a key role in the execution of the sales strategy of MSA’s Display, Native, CTV and Gaming products, driving revenue and client satisfaction across MSA’s media & ad tech solutions. In this, the Solutions Manager is a core member of the MATS client team focused on executing data-driven optimizations aligned with client needs, executing campaigns, and driving strong coordination or internal resources for excellence in execution of core tasks, account transitions, and client account health.

- Your account planning and media sales activities involve partnering with Account Executives (AE), Partner Sales Executives (PSE) and other specialists and virtual teams to develop and execute Microsoft Advertising account plans while leveraging winning sales strategies replicated across brand and agency clients.
- You will become an expert in your client’s business drivers, compelling events and seasonality of business to identify opportunities to optimize consumption and partner with the AE in development of sales plans for the client. Goals focus on driving media product adoption and growth, as well as cross-Microsoft opportunities. In this, the SM shares accountability with the AE and the wider commercial team.
- You will tailor content and messages about ways to grow and proactively optimize campaigns and programmatic deal setups to increase business results as you influence media planning and investment stakeholders and decision-makers by sharing data insights and media product demonstrations, bringing to life how MSA can increase business results.
- As a disciplined seller, you will optimize your existing book of client business to deliver excellent sales hygiene, consistently grow and execute against pipeline, employ thorough opportunity management, and achieve revenue goals and sales targets. You will utilize a solution-selling mindset to identify opportunities across Microsoft Advertising that deliver beneficial end-to-end client outcomes as well as bring the best resources to overcome blockers and ensure sales success.
- You will support the AE in building a negotiation plan to ensure smooth closing and timely renewal of contracts. In this, you will maintain a positive mindset during difficult objections & negotiations and demonstrate expertise in MSA’s features and incentives, including incubation products.
- You confidently upsell and increase consumption of existing IO and programmatic products, identify winning sales strategies, package them for efficiency and replicate them across similar client types.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience (e.g., Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on digital advertising)
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND relevant work experience (e.g., Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on digital advertising)
- OR Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND relevant work experience (e.g., Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on digital advertising).
- OR equivalent experience
- Experience in a Digital (programmatic) media sales role at a publisher, sales house, ad network or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in operating CRM systems for sales tracking, order management and reporting.
- Must be fluent in both German and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ideally 4 years experience in a Digital (programmatic) media sales role at a publisher, sales house, ad network or equivalent experience.
- Expert knowledge of setting up, optimizing and troubleshooting programmatic deal setups in both SSP and DSP environments as well as media IOs.
