European IVD IT Solutions Manager
(based in any EU country with a Mindray entity)
Location: Birmingham, UK
An exciting opportunity is now open with our In-vitro Diagnostics European business (IVD). Due to our continued exponential growth, we are looking for an experienced IVD IT Solutions expert with a history of a similar role looking to supercharge their development!
IVD IT contributes the knowledge and expertise of IT solutions in customer facing pre-sales solution design activities, within tendering processes, but also handling implementation work, and supporting of the interfaces. You will have a background in IVD IT Solutions.
Working closely with our EU IT Sales & Marketing Manager, they will provide mentorship as needed.
Your responsibilities:
- Actively participate in customer needs analysis and interviews as the link between a number of critical stakeholders, understanding the needs and supporting all parties.
- Provides consultancy on IT laboratory connectivity and solutions.
- Translates customer goals into a cohesive solution.
- Creates technical requirements/specifications for the integrated solution (interface, security and workflow).
- Provides customers with product demonstration.
- Supports within tender process (concepts, strategies etc.).
- Summarizes market needs and exchange closely with EU IT Sales & Marketing Manager.
- Manages proof of concepts (for IT solutions) and verify the quotation with sales.
- Standard implementation (installation, configuration according to the specifications, verification test) across Europe.
- Provides IT laboratory connectively and solution support to existing customers, distributors across Europe.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to IT solutions and project management.
- Support in identifying business opportunities in IVD (SLA business, consultancy business etc.).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Working in close collaboration with the R&D team.
What are we looking for in you?
- Strong background working in well-established IVD business, in a similar IT solutions and connectivity role is critical
- Strong “hands on” knowledge of ASTM and HL7
- Understanding the healthcare industry, specifically in the clinical and pathology lab environments, understanding of regulatory requirements, and trends in IT solutions would be advantageous
- Knowledge in SDC is an advantage
- Knowledge in CyberSecurity/GDPR within IVD business
- Evidenced project management skills
- Good English skills, oral/written, alongside another EU language
- The ability to travel up to 50% of the time is required.
- Ability to work permanently in Europe without company sponsorship
