What you will do:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Development Manager to lead one of the Cinema 4D teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of software developers and QA Specialists. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality delivery of products on the Cinema 4D roadmap, meeting the needs of our diverse user base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software developers and QA professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features and enhancements on the Cinema 4D product roadmap
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards
  • Implement and maintain robust QA processes and procedures to ensure the reliability, performance, and usability of Cinema 4D products
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with problem-solving, code reviews, and architectural decisions
  • Collaborate with other teams within Maxon, including design, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and synergy across all aspects of product development and delivery
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback and coaching to team members to support their professional growth and development

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in software development, with a focus on leading teams and delivering high-quality products
  • Strong technical skills in software development methodologies, programming languages (e.g., C++, Python), and development tools (e.g., Git, JIRA)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in the VFX, motion graphics, gaming, or multimedia software industry is a plus
  • Very good communications and English language skills
