These solutions encompass real-time shipment tracking, cold chain management and warehouse monitoring. Tasks:

Within the DHL SmartSolutions IoT team you will be responsible for design and development of new smart solutions based on IoT, Computer Vision or other technology for our internal and external partners. You will actively engage with customers and consult them to identify best fitting applications and solutions.

You will apply your expertise to initiate, manage and bring to live projects that make it possible for DHL to apply smart tech solutions; therefore you will be in close contact with our customers, both internally in DHL and externally.

You will drive projects from a first idea until the final implementation including convincing stakeholders, developing business cases and managing different parties involved in the design of the solution like the DHL Center of Excellence IoT, Business Units, suppliers, and DHL customer managers.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Work closely with DHLs Business Units to advance initiatives for IoT use case pipeline filling
• Drive and practically support Proof-of-Concepts with BUs
• Collect requirements of DHL Business Units for smart solutions in the field of Internet of Things, Computer Vision or similar technologies
• Design and implement customer-specific IoT solutions with a complete intrapreneurial mindset
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key technology suppliers, both current and potential
• Scout for, assess and evaluate new digital technologies
• Transfer existing IoT technologies into new designed products and applications
• Bring new designed IoT solutions to customers (internal and external) enabling automated production processes, attend qualification and validation runs
• Ensure IT integration into DHL systems
• manage IoT Product Development end-to-end incl necessary documentation
• support DHL Procurement in contract negotiations with suppliers
• Drive commercialization of developed solutions and services

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• University degree in IT/Engineering/ Business or equivalent working experience
• Min 4 yrs experience on Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Ability to work independently and well organized with a high self-motivation
• Proven track record as Product Owner and Product Development
• Experience in common agile IT project management methods (SCRUM)
• Experience on Logistics and Supply Chain Management, esp. with regard to terminology and industry standards
• Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements in the LifeSciences & Healthcare sector
• Proven project management skills
• Negotiations skills and affinity for legal topics
• Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on way of working
• Intercultural and customer centric mindset
• Good communication & presentation skills
• Fluency in English language mandatory, German language skills desirable
