The Department of Psychology, section Methodology and Evaluation Research at the University of Hildesheim (Germany) is offering the following position:
Research Assistant for qualification (m/f/d)
(TV-L E 13, 75%)
Start date: March 2025
Contract duration: 3 years
The Methodology and Evaluation Research section is responsible for teaching research methods and statistics in the undergraduate and graduate psychology programs (BSc and MSc). Our research focuses on health and public health topics, as well as diagnostics and intercultural issues.
Your key responsibilities: - Pursuing an academic qualification (doctoral degree)
- Contributing to ongoing research projects and preparing scientific publications
- Designing and delivering seminars on research methods, evaluation, or health psychology (3 hours per week during the semester)
- Developing and grading exams
- Supervising bachelor's and master's theses
- Engaging in further training in higher education didactics
Your profile: - Very good academic degree (Master of Science or equivalent) in Psychology or a related discipline
- Strong interest in pursuing a PhD
- Very good knowledge of quantitative research methods
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software, or a willingness to acquire it
- Willingness to publish in English
- Interest in public health, diagnostic, intercultural as well as methodological issues
- Teaching experience is an asset
- Strong ability to work independently
