Job Description
As a Manager in Miltenyi Biotec's R&D department, you lead a group focused on the research in basic mechanisms and development of analytical methods and reagents to support Miltenyi's immunotherapy pipeline from early clinical development through to commercialization.The focus is on native and gene-modified NK cells and Gamma-Delta T cells. These research and drug development pathways utilise new and innovative technologies developed in-house, such as flow cytometry, cell culturing, gene vector development and automated cell processing.
- You will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation and management of the respective project portfolio.
- This includes the development and establishment of novel reagents, assays and workflow solutions for analytics in NK, NK-CAR, GD-T cell, and GD-CAR T cell therapies.
- Resource management, organisation and alignment of the group with our clinical development pipeline are other components of this position.
- You will lead and develop various groups of scientists and research staff.
- Working closely with other R&D teams and the clinical development, pharmaceutical development, regulatory affairs and quality control groups is also an exciting part of the role.
Qualifications - You successfully finished your PhD or MD, preferably with a postdoctoral training and strong expertise in immunology and disease biology.
- Furthermore, you have a proven track record of managing scientific and/or drug discovery programs and several years' experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- In your previous roles, you have led teams to success by identifying and developing talent and by delegating effectively.
- You are creative, goal-oriented and able to work both independently and across disciplines. You also welcome new challenges.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a proven track record in KOL management complete your profile.
