Position Summary:
From fostering strong, meaningful relationships with our customers to creatively solving problems with innovative solutions to managing the sales strategy, you’ll partner with our customers to ensure they have the right solutions and applications to provide the best care to their patients each day. You’ll be responsible for more than just troubleshooting. You’ll drive positive experiences by focusing on our top priority: our customers. You’ll work with a variety of stakeholders in a dynamic organization to make a positive impact in the healthcare industry. In this customer facing role, Application Specialists are crucial to delivering on our mission of enabling our customers to enhance precision cancer diagnostics. The region will be Germany – East (Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Rostock, Wismar, Stralsund, Frankfurt/Oder)

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
Interpret and understand customer user requirements, and how they relate to product functionality
Provide troubleshooting and resolution of customers’ technical issues, and provides help in understanding of the appropriate use of Anatomical Pathology products
Provide periodic reports to management including compilations of customer complaints, trend analyses, and suggestions for improvement.
Review available technical literature to maintain an awareness of current laboratory practices and procedures
Act as a Technical Specialist between Customers, Account executives and Product Management
Participates in validating new products, customer evaluations of existing products and application support.
Up to 75% travel is required and may be asked to travel within hours for urgent customer needs.
Proactively schedule time for customer visits, install and train on equipment, and resolve application issues
Create a positive customer experience by coordinating internally to ensure customer needs are met
Utilize SalesForce.com to document activity, customer feedback/information, competitive intelligence and identify opportunities to grow the sales funnel
Monitor competitive activity and trends within the industry and territory
Support reference sites for newly launched and key products within customer base
Position requires maintaining on-going professional certifications, technical acumen, and overall development of product knowledge as applicable.
Attend regional and international trade shows and meetings as applicable
Ability to problem solve under pressure
Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications and skills
MTA or Bachelor’s degree required in a life science discipline
3-5 Years’ experience in Anatomical Pathology/Histology-Clinical or Research
Advanced Computer Skills
Proven strong influencing and communication skills
Ability to proactively plan and be adaptable to changing priorities
Experience in the clinical and/or histology laboratory space
Language requirement: German + English
Must have valid driver’s license
