Job Description


Gold Standard Diagnostics (GSD) Clinical Solutions is an independant International Business Line (IBL) within the Eurofins Group focused on the development, manufacturing, and marketing of in-vitro diagnostics assays, consumables, instruments and automation for human and animal diagnostics, as well as industrial testing applications (especially in the areas of food and environment testing). The Clinical Group is spread over multiple locations over Europe, having facilities for R&D, Production, and Sales hubs . GSD is looking to expand its Molecular Diagnostics development capabilities by creating one or more Molecular Diagnostics development centers. The goal is to have a (or more) dedicated team(s) of experienced scientists working on developing high quality and state-of-art solutions for human diagnostics.

To build its Molecular Diagnostics R&D capacity, GSD is looking for an entrepreneurial, dynamic and motivated candidate to that can establish this(these) center(s) and manage hands on the day-to-day operations.


Qualifications


Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of the IVD context, specifically PCR and nucleic acid extraction development
  • Successful organizational change, transformation, and restructuring
  • Prior exposure to M&A, post-merger integration processes
  • Prior experience in setting up a research and development laboratory.

Education:

  • MSc or higher in technical, chemical, or mechanical sciences preferred
  • MBA or similar business education is optional

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluency in English
  • Development of sales & business strategy
  • Proven success in a growth-oriented business
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong experience in identification of merger & acquisition targets, as well as business integration
  • People leadership
  • Ambitious
  • Self-starter
