The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science
at the University of Cologne is looking for a postdoctoral
researcher (f/m/x) in probability theory.

YOUR TASKS
» Position Overview: We are seeking an outstanding and

highly-motivated postdoctoral researcher with a strong
background in probability theory. Ideal candidates will
have a doctorate in Mathematics (or a closely related
field) and demonstrated expertise in probability theory,
particularly in the study of random media, such as perco-
lation theory or processes in random environments. The
successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in
the DFG Priority Programme (SPP 2265) ‘Random Ge-
ometric Systems’, on cutting-edge topics at the intersec-
tion of geometry and probability.

particularly in areas related to random media

requirements, the salary is based on remuneration group
13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
