Probability theory is a focus area in the Department of
Mathematics and Computer Science. Our research in the
areas of random graphs, stochastic processes and statis-
tical mechanics is based on international collaboration and
we also cooperate with researchers in theoretical physics
and computer science.

The position is available from 01.09.2025 on a part-
time basis (26,56 hours per week). The position is
to be filled for a fixed term until 31.08.2027 with the
possibility of extension. If the applicant meets the
relevant wage requirements and personal qualifica-
tions, the salary will be based on remuneration group
13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
