Abbott Diabetes Care, Abbott GmbH, is looking for a (Senior) Manager Market Access/Healthcare Policy Germany(m/f/d), based in Wiesbaden.

Primary Objective of Position

  • Build trustful and reliable contacts to experts and decision makers on institutional level and support market access and reimbursement for ADC products within the statutory and private health insurance system in Germany with focus on new indications.
  • Communicate the value of our current & future products to ensure a positive

national reimbursement decision.

  • Monitor and evaluate relevant healthcare policy, market access and

reimbursement developments and to engage in a meaningful dialogue with

relevant decision makers.

  • Support regional market access and sales functions communicating the value of our current & future products.

2. Major Accountabilities

  • Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system

requirements.

  • Understand, describe, and prioritize most relevant (influential, accessible) nonmedical market access stakeholders (payers, institutional and governmental

bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders) for German ADC

organization/business.

  • Build trusted and strategic relationships with institutional stakeholders:

Understand the specific needs of reimbursement-related stakeholders and identify partnering opportunities.

  • Analyze market access trends / health policy changes and continuously map

national & regional reimbursement requirements. Anticipate access barriers and

cost containment risks.

  • Represent ADC's interests in industry and healthcare associations and participate in relevant committees.
  • Develop appropriate communication platforms to reinforce the value messages for our products (e.g. workshops, payer communication tools, forums).
  • Input and contribute to ADC's market access strategy. Share best practices with local and international counterparts.

Qualification:

  • Advanced degree in science, economics, or related areas .
  • Ideally additional qualification in public health, health economics or health policy.
  • At least 3 years of experience in pharma I medical device industry, health policy or related functions of payers I market access consultancies I disease management organizations (market access or related functional areas) is a plus
  • Existing network to relevant German market access institutions is a plus (e.g. G-BA, IQWiG, Associations of payers, individual payers, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze information, assess risk potential/ commercial opportunities, and develop appropriate strategic plans based on these insights.
  • Diligence, team play and strong communication I presentation skills.
  • Good English language skills and fluent in German.
  • Ability to build customer account plans and execute on these plans: Ability to

communicate a value story based on clinical and economic data.

  • Deep understanding of the German Statutory Health Insurance (SHI) system.
  • Engaging personality able to develop sustainable relationships with ADC relevant institutional bodies and payers.
