As our Teamlead Medical Affairs and MSL Excellence (m/f/d) Region Europe, you will define and execute the medical strategy across 15 European markets through 9 affiliates and lead a team of 2 Medical Experts in our Headquarters. Focus areas include movement disorders (post-stroke spasticity, dystonia, blepharospasm), Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. This role combines strategic vision and operational expertise to align with our growth ambition while leading and inspiring a dedicated medical team.
YOUR TASKS
Strategy: Develop and implement a medical strategy for specialized neurology, aligning with global objectives. Identify market opportunities and challenge in the neurology landscape across the region. Ensures strategies are translated into actionable plans at the affiliate level.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and inspire a team of 2 medical experts, fostering a high-performance culture. Support local MSL Managers with strategic direction. Implement training programs to keep the medical team updated on neurology developments.
Medical Affairs Operations: Support affiliates in clinical development, medical education, and publication planning. Review and approve scientific content for communications. Ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards.
MSL Excellence: Oversee MSL operations in Europe, ensuring scientific communication consistency. Develop and standardize MSL best practices. Monitor MSL performance, providing training and feedback.
Customer Engagement: Establish relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders in neurology. Represent the company at conferences and advisory boards. Facilitate collaborations with research institutions and partners.
KOL Management: Define and monitor regional KOL engagement strategy. Build relationships with KOLs and other medical stakeholders like patient advocacy groups.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal functions (e.g., GPTs, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs) to align medical strategies with commercial goals. Ensure collaboration with non-medical functions (e.g., Legal, HR) for projects.
Budget Planning and Allocation: Develop and manage the medical budget in line with financial goals and strategy. Allocate budget across channels and activities to maximize ROI.
Organizational and Process Development, Compliance: Work in alignment with SOPs, compliance policies, and procedures. Contribute to compliance reporting.
YOUR PROFILE
Medical doctor or PhD in natural sciences with experience in neurology is mandatory
Comprehensive experience in pharmaceutical marketing with a focus on CNS
Proven track record of defining & executing Medical strategies; effectively managing of medical budgets
Ability to build, inspire & lead high performing teams incl. MSLs. Strategic thinking & problem solving skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in English language with the ability to explain and present complex science
Strong teamplayer with Innovative thinking and performance oriented mindset
Ability to travel internationally up to 40%
