About Us:
Friedensdorf International is a non-profit organization that works to help sick and injured children around the world. We provide medical treatment for children from war and crisis areas and support them during their stay in Germany. In hospitals in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg, we are looking for carers who can comfort the young patients and support them during their hospital stay.
For our team we are now looking for a care worker (m/f/d) – mini-job
Locations : Various hospitals in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg
Working hours : Minijob (minor employment)
Remuneration : based on the TVöD
Your tasks:
Care and support of sick and injured children during their hospital stay
Carrying out age-appropriate activities for distraction and stimulation (e.g. crafts, painting, games)
Sensitive support for children in coping with fears and pain
Support in promoting the well-being of children
Close cooperation with doctors, nurses and colleagues at the Berlin Coordination Office
Your profile:
a nursing qualification (e.g. as a health and nursing assistant, geriatric nurse, special needs nurse) would be an advantage
Experience working with children, ideally in a hospital environment
Empathy, patience and the ability to support children in challenging situations
Creativity and commitment in everyday life
ability to work in a team and reliability
Flexibility and willingness to work in various hospitals in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg, even at night if necessary
