Position Overview
The Head of Inclusion Services is a new senior leadership role within Linden Global Learning Support, responsible for overseeing the Inclusion Services team, consisting of 5 Full-Time Employees (FTEs) and 30 freelancers working in Learning and Behavior Support, Speech and Language, and Occupational Therapy. The selected candidate will report to the Founder and Director of Direct Services while serving on the Senior Leadership Team alongside the Head of Counseling and Head of School Psychology Assessments. This role encompasses direct student support, professional development delivery, team leadership, and service coordination. The Head of Inclusion Services ensures innovative, evidence-based, culturally sensitive, high-quality, inclusive, and child-centered solutions for students, families, and schools while upholding Linden’s commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Coordination (40%)
- Lead and support a team of 5 FTEs and approximately 35 freelancers, ensuring alignment with Linden’s mission and values.
- Provide quality control by ensuring and measuring high standards of inclusive education, accessibility, and support services across all Linden’s direct service support offerings for students.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for educational institutions and families seeking learning support, accommodations, and inclusion services.
- Support the matching of clients with appropriate specialists based on student needs.
- Develop and implement best practices, policies, and resources for inclusion specialists.
- Conduct team meetings, appraisals, and professional development for inclusion staff.
- Identify hiring needs and assist in recruitment and hiring efforts for inclusion services specialists.
- Monitor and optimize goal tracking systems, session notes, and student progress to ensure impactful intervention.
- Innovate and improve processes and interventions across all inclusion services with tech-supported solutions and tools
Direct Student Support (30%)
- Deliver high-quality 1:1 or small group sessions to students requiring learning support.
- Provide direct support through summer camps and group intervention programs.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and schools to create individualized inclusion plans and strategies for students.
Professional Development & Advocacy (30%)
- Design and facilitate professional development workshops for schools, specialists, and educational organizations on topics related to inclusion, learning support, and best practices.
- Advocate for inclusive education policies and programs in international schools.
- Develop and lead innovative new programs, initiatives, and partnerships that promote inclusion and accessibility in education.
- Stay updated on global trends in special education and inclusive learning to continuously improve Linden’s services.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Special Education, Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning support, special education, or inclusion services.
- Leadership experience in managing teams, projects, or educational initiatives.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple projects and a diverse team.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging professional development sessions.
- Experience working with international schools and diverse student populations.
- Fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and inclusion strategies for students with learning differences.
- Strong skills and and comfort with IT solutions in education and operations
The above responsibilities serve as a guideline, and the hours for each area may be adjusted upon review. You will be asked to support or take over other projects as needed, in coordination with your supervisor.
