The Role

As Technical Service Manager, you will work together with commercial teams providing global technical support, application expertise, and customer-driven solutions in various end markets, including starch processing, malting and Plant Proteins. Your role is to support the growth of our business by providing hands-on and remote support to our customers. You will take part in developing and maintaining strong relationships to our customers as well as planning, running factory trials and showing new business opportunities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the technical bridge between sales, customers, and application development to drive product adoption and business growth. Conduct on-site and remote technical support for product implementation, troubleshooting, and process optimization
  • Translate customer technical needs into business opportunities, ensuring strong commercial execution
  • Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support to strengthen customer engagement and decision-making and provide technical input in sales meetings, negotiations, and business case development
  • Aligning technical service activities with commercial goals in collaboration with Global and Regional Commercial Managers
  • Working closely with Application Development and Product Management to commercialize technical solutions and align with product development roadmaps
  • Support the development of commercial materials, including technical presentations, case studies, and application guides

Close collaboration within a global team

  • Ensure correct documentation of trials, formulations, and technical recommendations
  • Maintain and update global technical databases and knowledge-sharing platforms and facilitate knowledge transfer between global and regional technical teams, ensuring the adoption of best practices
  • Developing and delivering training programs for internal teams and customers on products and applications in the field

About You

Are you enthusiastic about technical innovation in grains & plant protein applications and want to make a real impact on commercial success? Do you love working at the intersection of technical service and business? If so, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

  • You have a degree in Food Technology, Cereal Chemistry, Process Engineering or a related field
  • You have at least 5 years' experience in technical service, product development, processing or application development within grains, plant proteins or related food industries. Experience in the application of enzymes is an asset
  • You are passionate for solving customer challenges with technical expertise and have the ability to translate technical knowledge into customer-focused solutions that drive revenue
  • You have effective communication skills and are capable presenting complex technical solutions to both commercial teams and customers in a clear and structured way
  • You are agile and able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrix organization and are capable to travel, both in Europe as well as globally
  • You are willing to work with the global and regional teams across different time zones
  • You have very good English skills (written and oral)
